The brain and heart behind OTEA

Carsten Papuga is the brains and heart behind OTEA. He has designed and developed cow brushes since 2014 with the vision of creating cow brushes that can withstand the harsh conditions in the barn while being reliable, durable and energy efficient.

Carsten Papuga has an innovative approach to product development, characterized by creativity and technical expertise. He has managed to solve complex problems such as cow brushes falling down, circuit boards that break and cables breaking by introducing solutions such as universal joints, mass-produced frequency converters and fixed motor/gearboxes.

Sustainability is an element that has been built into the design from the start of the development process. By reducing power consumption and using durable materials and standard components, Carsten Papuga has ensured that OTEA's products are not only efficient, but also environmentally friendly.

One of the things that characterizes Carsten Papuga is his creativity and constant search for better solutions. Since he started developing cow brushes in 2014, he has made significant changes to the design in his search for the best and most durable cow brushes. Over the years, Carsten Papuga has gained a lot of experience, which has resulted in OTEA's current range of products. These products are the sum of extensive tests, feedback from farmers and a continuous effort to improve on the design. Every single cow brush in OTEA's range is the result of many years of product development and testing, ensuring that we can offer the most reliable and effective solutions to our customers.

Sustainability in focus

Sustainability is a core value at OTEA. That is why our cow brushes are designed to reduce power consumption by up to 50% compared to similar products on the market, as they only use 120-180 W while operating. In addition, we of course also have cow brushes without motors.

We use standard components in our construction, which contributes to a more sustainable production process and reduces both costs and environmental impact. It also has the advantage of making it easy to replace a component if necessary.

Wellness that lasts

Our cow brushes are designed to last a lifetime. The stainless steel construction together with the motor and helical gear, which have an efficiency of 98%, ensure a more energy-efficient operation. In addition, we use various design features to ensure durability and a long life span. For example, the motor and gear are fixed above the wall bracket, which eliminates the risk of cables breaking, and the bristles are made of a nylon material that lasts many times longer than traditional plastic materials such as PE, thereby contributing to the sustainability of the product.

The motorized brushes have universal joints that ensure that the brush has free movement in all directions and that it never falls down. The cow brushes without a motor have a strong spring that ensures that there is resistance when the animals use the brush. This helps to improve the welfare and fur care of the cows.
